Peripherical Communities est un instrument d’enregistrement permettant la capture des slams composés par les communautés vivant dans la périphérie des grandes villes. Il permet de filmer indépendamment chaque individu et de diffuser simultanément l’image du groupe de slameurs. Dispositif générique, il est reproductible ans différentes cultures. Débuté à Paris en 2002, Peripherical Communities a, depuis, été réalisé à Séoul (2003), Dakar (2005), Amsterdam (2006) et Paris/Londres (2008-2010).
Peripherical Communities is an instrument to capture and record the reality of slam poetry communities in the outskirts of large cities. It allows each person to be filmed individually and then be diffused as a group of slam poets. The installation can be reproduced in different cultural contexts. Started in Paris in 2002, Peripherical Communities has been re-created in Seoul (2003), Dakar (2005), Amsterdam (2006) and Paris/London (2008-2010).
